Carolina C. Villegas

August 11, 1939 - November 9, 2021

A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Carolina C. Villegas went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2021, at the age of 82, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on August 11, 1939 in Owosso, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Villegas; parents, Nicholas and Beatrice Cardenas; brothers, Nicholas Cardenas, Ernest Cardenas, David Cardenas and George Cardenas; grandson, Bobby Gabriel Fernandez II, and son-in-law, Gerald D. Ortega. Carolina is survived by her children, Elizabeth V. Ortega, Beatrice Fernandez (Bobby), Julia Arreguin (Vincent), Louis Castro and Rodolfo Villegas II; siblings, Sylvia Trevino, Richard Cardenas (Leticia), Diane Wilburn, Laura Hernandez (Adam), Gilbert Cardenas (Maria Luisa) and Mario Cardenas; 11 grandchildren, Christopher Ortega (Melissa), Eric Ortega, Moses Fernandez, Alejandro Fernandez, Rodolfo Villegas III, Clarissa Caroline Ramirez (Greg), Crystal Lou Castro, Samantha Villegas, Damian Villegas, Nichole Castro and Victoria Southwell (Kenneth); 6 great-grandchildren, Zandrea Ortega, Julianna Ramirez, Camila Ortega, Ximena Fernandez, Christopher Ortega Jr. and Eric Angel Ortega, and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolina was a loving and caring person who had a great sense of humor. In her past time she loved shopping and spending time with her family. She will be remembered by her kind and humble heart by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Monday, November 22, 2021. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
