Golden Girl, Mamacita, Amiga... these and many more are the titles she earned during her life here on earth. Was born in Muzquiz Mexico but at a young age, due to the death of her father, the family migrated to the United States. Two of her goals were to become a U.S. citizen and obtain her GED and she accomplished both. She loved the medical field and worked at numerous facilities such as San Antonio State Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Santa Rosa Hospital to mention a few. She worked with private duty agencies as well. On weekends you could catch her working at local grocery stores giving samples. She was very involved at Prince of Peace Catholic Church from attending Mass regularly, singing in both English and Spanish choir and one of the oldest members of the Guadalupana's Organization from selling Christian items to making her famous hot sauce for the Taco sales. A devoted Democratic Party supporter and faithful voter together with her friend Ms. Davila. She was an active member of the Alicia Trevino Lopez Senior Center where she had many friends. She was a great supporter of the local thrift stores in the area. In her 91 years of life she has visited majority if not all of the states within the United States as well as several cities in Mexico. But of all the things she accomplished her greatest was the love for her children, grand children, great great grandchildren and all her family members. She leaves us all with a great void but yet wonderful memories to cherish and her prayer “God please give me Love, Faith, Peace, Health, Patience, Tranquility and Understanding”.
