Dora S. Cuellar
September 25, 1942 - April 24, 2022
Dora Silva Cuellar passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Dora was born on September 25, 1942, to Remigio Silva and Manuela Monclova Silva in Victoria, Tx. She graduated from Central High School in San Angelo, Tx and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in history from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She was a dedicated mother to two children, Rossana Saline Cuellar-Neie, and Brandon Eliani Cuellar. Dora was a strong, independent woman who instilled confidence in her children and emphasized the importance of education and being self-sufficient. She also was an extraordinarily talented individual who could easily play any musical instrument amazingly well despite her inability to read music. A gifted oil painter, Dora painted portraits of various family members to commemorate major life events. However, her greatest passion was singing. She loved to sing…anywhere, anytime, and especially in restaurants when mariachis were present. Dora is survived by her two children, Saline Neie (husband Kevin) and Brandon Cuellar; brother Juan M. (wife Dora) Silva of Kerrville, Tx, and sister Rachell S. Gonzales of San Antonio, Tx, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Private graveside services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Mission Retama Cemetery.
