On March 11, 2022, Florence transitioned from her earthly life to become one of God’s angels. She was so happy to rejoin her soulmate and husband, Jim who left us in 2015. Florence was born on February 4, 1933, in Carrizo Springs, Texas where she spent her childhood. When she graduated from Carrizo Springs High School in 1951, she left to pursue a nursing degree from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas. There she met her soulmate and husband, Jim Kittell. They married in 1953 and had their first daughter Patty in 1954. After Florence completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1955, her second daughter Laura was born. Florence was a wife and soulmate to her one and only Jimmy for 62 years and was a loving mother to Patty and Laura. She was the perfect grandma and her great grandchildren, will attest that she was the “bestest” great grandma in the world. Her love extended to everyone who knew her. She was a loving and kind soul. She was sincere and true in her heart and mind. She had a nature you could not help loving and a heart that was purer than gold. She was a saint and to those who knew and loved her, her memory will never grow old. Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jim Kittell and her parents Hector and Rachel Willems. Her siblings, George Willems, Jane Tynan, Rose Richardson, Bill Willems, and Joe Willems were also waiting for her at Heaven’s gate.
