Mrs. GUADALUPE "LUPE" R. HERNANDEZ

May 28, 1922 - March 24, 2022

Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ R Hernandez was born May 28, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the age of 99 years old. Mrs. Hernandez is preceded in death by her parents: Trinidad and Narcisa Reyes, husband Juan M Hernandez, son Robert R Hernandez and grandson Johnny R Hernandez Jr. She is survived by her son Johnny R Hernandez and Alma, and her four daughters Carolina Castillo and David, Lucy Cruz and Carlos Wolfe, Gloria R Hernandez, and Janie Segovia. She has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Lupe was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm, Monday, April 04, 2022 at Alamo Funeral Home, 624 N Alamo, San Antonio, Texas 78215. The Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:30 pm. The funeral mass for Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ R Hernandez will be held on Tuesday, April 05, 2022 with a departure from Alamo Funeral Home at 09:30 am for a 10:00 am mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 617 S. Santa Rosa, San Antonio, Texas 78204. Interment will conclude the services at San Fernando Cemetery # 2 at 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237. The family of Guadalupe would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff at Superior Hospice who tirelessly took care of her during her final time. There are no amount of words that can truly express how grateful we are for how well you cared for our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
