July 17, 1964 - September 9, 2021
With great sadness and a heavy heart, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Henry Melchor, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2021 at the age of 57. He was born on July 17, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas to Mario and Virginia Melchor. He is preceded in death by his brother Mario Melchor, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Melchor; his parents; daughters Amanda Melchor and Kaela (David) Herrera; sons Ryan Melchor and Adam Melchor; grandchildren Anson Flores, Nolan Flores, Orion Gallegos, Lillian Herrera, and Caden Herrera. Sisters Virginia (Ernest) Rodriguez, Penny Medrano, Julie (Charlie) Santos, Betty (Robert) Davis and Isabel (John) Melchor; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by all who knew him. Henry was a 1982 graduate of Highlands High School. He was a professional truck driver for over 35 years, receiving numerous awards that reflected his conscientiousness and dedication. He always gave his full support to everything his kids did and was their number one cheerleader. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, barbequing and Celebrating Fiesta. On any given weekend you could find him, sitting in the patio, surfing the Internet on his phone and listening to his “oldies but goodies.” He loved working with his hands, fixing anything that was broke or making something new. He was a man of faith, devout Catholic and a member of the Order of the Knights of Columbus Council #7016 attaining third degree. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
