Hilario was a Renaissance man. He was gifted with a witty sense of humor which surfaced with every interaction and exchange. He was a composer, a vocalist and instrumental musician. He produced Christian music and developed his talents throughout most of his life. Hilario was an artist and artisan who experimented with unusual mediums from which he created art. He was passionate about and productive in creating his sculptured lights series which he perfected over many years. Hilario always elaborated about love for his wife and children throughout his lifetime. He was dedicated to providing his family with joy, laughter, and wisdom. He pursued a personal and intimate relationship with God. The importance of family and love is always what he exuded and his desire for them to walk with God as well. Hilario LeVon Chavers joined his Lord on December 20, 2021in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 2, 1948 in Hampton, Virginia to Percy Chavers and Clyde Marie Chavers. Mr. Chavers was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Lancaster; and brothers, James Chavis and Donald Chavers. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Arnitta A. Chavers; daughters, Nikki Chavers-McLain (Gregory) and Cristina Chavers-Torres (Travis); sons, Seneca Chavers, Aviano Chavers and Sergio Chaves; sisters, Ann Scott, Joyce Chavers; brothers, Ronald Chavers (Gillian), Percell Chavers Jr. (Claudia) and Bobby Chavers; grandchildren, Jade McClain, Titus Chavers, Ariya Fennell and Joseph Chavers. SERVICES Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 6:00pm-9:00pm with a service at 7:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, that will be live streamed. Graveside Services will be on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10:15am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, with Army Honors.
