Jack Hughes Dees Jr.

August 20, 1946 - March 2, 2022

Jack Hughes Dees, Jr. “Tex” went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2022, at the age of 75 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 20, 1946, in Orange, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Hughes Dees Sr. and Lena Romero Dees. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Susan Baker Dees; children Kaye Marie Randle (Tate), Jack H. Dees, III “Bo”; stepdaughters Cindy Fisher (Eddie) and Renise Watkins, grandchildren Dustin Pattillo, David Pattillo (Melinda), Nicole Vasquez, Kaylor Ketron (Laird), Ceslea Pattillo (Joe), Gabrielle Fisher, Katherine Montiel (Hugo), Edward Fisher, Elizabeth Watkins, William Watkins; and great-grandchildren; Ella Grace Ketron, Levi Ketron and Jax Quinonez. Jack “Tex” grew up in Orange Texas and enjoyed life every day. He was a hardworking and kindhearted man. He loved to garden and fish and enjoyed a good game of dominoes or watching the Dallas Cowboys. Jack inherited his fathers’ talents as a carpenter. He owned a Dairy Queen franchise with several locations in the South Texas area. Later in life he developed his own landscaping business, J&S Lawn service. Jack was a member of Cowboy Fellowship in Jourdanton, Texas. He was a wonderful, caring and thoughtful husband. He enjoyed doing anything with his wife Susan, especially working in the garden. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather that left long-lasting and loving memories. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 @ 11:00 AM Cowboy Fellowship 561 FM-3350, Jourdanton, Texas Services will conclude at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or the St. Jude Children’s hospital.
