A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Josephine Alvarez went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2022, at the age of 64. She was born on November 23, 1957 in San Antonio, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Alvarez; Parents, Jose and Josephine Zapata; Daughter, Priscilla Browning; Brother’s, Ernest Zapata; Sister; Gloria Gutierrez, and niece, Gracie Zapata. Josephine is survived by her boyfriend, Joe Martinez; daughters, Jessica Browning, Jennifer Maldonado (Vincent) and Jeanette Cervantes (Robert Rodriguez); 11 grandchildren, Seledonio Arizola, Priscilla Faith Salazar, Jennifer Elizabeth Rocha, Amber Selene Rocha, Thomas Rudy Cervantes, Hector Rene Flores, Nathan Alexander Flores, Julianne Nicole Flores, Osiris Collide Rodriguez, Alaga Athena Rodriguez and Hectic Wrath Rodriguez; 7 great-grandchildren, Lyra Arizola, Seledonio Arizola Jr., Leery Arizola, Alchemy Arizola, Lotus Arizola and Eason Mejia and Kataleya Flores; siblings, Isabel Gutierrez (Johnny), Raymond Zapata (Emily), Maria Garcia (Juan), Clemente Zapata, Stella Guerra, Yolanda Zapata, Sandra Castro (Antonio) and Jesse Zapata; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recite at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Service will be on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Park South. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
