July 13, 1966 - November 26, 2021
Kellie Lee Dyer had a heart of gold and found her way to heaven’s gate unexpectedly at the young age of 55 on November 26, 2021 when she passed away in her childhood home. Her final days were spent surrounded by family with laughter and love. She was born July 13, 1966 in San Antonio, Texas where she grew up and graduated from Sam Houston High School. She is survived by her loving mother and best friend, Judy Baumann; brother and his wife, Jimmy and Tammy Dyer; nieces; Melissa, Stephanie, and Nevaeh; nephew, Junior; fur babies; Bandit, Harley, and Rusty; and numerous extended family and friends. We will all miss her more than words can say. Kellie’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Those who were gracefully blessed to have known Kellie, would describe her as a loving, giving, hard-working, dedicated, selfless person who was generous with her time and friendship. She loved animals to no end and even felt guilty joking that she committed murder when having to swat a wasp that stung her. Although she was never able to have kids of her own, her motherly instincts were displayed through saving as many stray dogs as she could and spoiling her fur babies at home to no end. She not only spoiled her fur babies, but loved and spoiled her nieces and nephew like they were her own. Kellie loved to make mementos/keepsakes for others to remember her by, write poetry, painting, shopping in Fredericksburg/Boerne, and being surrounded by her family whom she loved more than anything in the world. After graduating from Sam Houston High School in 1984, Kellie worked at Italian Gardens Bar and Restaurant for a short time, and then at The Place bar before working at Tony's Bar and Grill. She finally found what she was looking for at Embrey's Heating and Air Conditioning, where she became very good friends with Lois Crossland and her husband, Doug, and their whole family. She always said Lois was her second mother. She was there for 28 years when the company shut down. She has been at Arnold Moos Plumbing and Heating & Air Conditioning for three years, working with Jim and Christine Moos, where she has been a loyal and dedicated worker. She loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that Kellie is now at peace surrounded by her loving brother “Pooter” that she lost too soon and her “fur- daughter” Sandy. Preceding her in death was her step dad, Paul LeRoy House; and her brother Paul LeRoy House, II (Pooter). Visitation will be held at Dellcrest Funeral Home, 2023 S WW White Rd, San Antonio, TX 78222 on Tuesday December 7, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with a funeral service at 10:00 AM with the burial directly after at Mission Park South Cemetery, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214.
