Mercedes was preceded in death by her husband Joe Diaz, parents Maria R. Martinez and Luis Martinez, Brother Rodolfo “Rudy” Martinez, Brother-In-Laws, Encarnacion “Chon” Gomez and Carl Castillo, Nephews, Luis Gomez, and Rudy Martinez. She is survived by her sisters Mary Lou Gomez, Esther Castillo, and Sister-In-Law Josephine Martinez. Nieces and Nephews that she considered her children from the Gomez Family, Martinez Family and Castillo Family. She also had many Godchildren.
