    Roy A. Ramirez

    January 2, 1956 - February 19, 2022

Roy Alejandro Ramirez Passed away on February 19, 2022 in his home town of San Antonio Texas, he was 66 years old. His sudden and quick battle with Leukemia surprised us all. He is survived by his 7 siblings Edna Guerrero, Richard Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez, Rebecca Ramirez, Ann Flores, Selina Luna, and Monica Ramirez Cate. Roy was an uncle and great uncle… with too many nieces and nephews to recount. He is preceded in passing by his parents Juan and Hermila Ramirez, brothers Ramiro and Herman Ramirez and sister Martha Mandujano. Roy was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. He loved playing softball and drinking the beer that followed the games. Roy knew his way around a kitchen. He was often cooking up good food somewhere and everywhere. He loved working with friends he had known from childhood. Cooking amazing Mexican food at “The Curve Drive In “until he retired in 2008. Roy was quite a gentle soul. But we all know he had the loud Ramirez lung capacity! Screaming with himself, TV or others that did not agree with the play of the game in front of him. He was a sporting fanatic of Wrestling, Cowboys and the Spurs all his life. His ‘church clothes’ had Dallas Cowboys or Spurs on them. This was his happy place! We want to thank VITAS hospice and his loving family members who did their best to care for him and his needs during his rapid decline in health and also with all the arrangements thereafter. We know Roy has joined heaven with some wonderful and amazing souls that left us too soon. Rest in Peace in God’s hands dearest brother!
