    Sheldton Lavon Bell

    June 11, 1981 - January 2, 2022

Our beloved, Sheldton Lavon Bell, passed away in the early hours of January 2, 2022. Sheldton was born on June 11th, 1981, in Tallahassee, Florida to his mother Georgia Bell and Jonnie Osborn. He spent most of his childhood with his families in Florida and Georgia. He received his High School Equivalency while attending Shriver Job Corps. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Cyber-Security and minored in Business at Boston University. He later joined the Military July 29th, 2003, where he served several combat tours including Iraq and Kuwait. His awards include the Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. He was honorably discharged March 8,2016 as Specialist Bell, though many know him as Sergeant Bell. Sheldton was a driven professional with an unmatched work ethic. He was a devoted truck driver and most importantly a loving committed husband and FATHER. He loved music and used it as an expressive outlet and meditative escape. He was extraordinarily talented and creative and genuinely enjoyed the peace of intimacy within his home with his family. He desired to have a family of his own and that is exactly what he had. He loved his family and was devoted to his family until his very last day with them. His greatest accomplishment in life was his children. Throughout his life, many knew him as kind, loving and humble. He had God’s heart in him and was an inspiration to everyone that was connected to him. On November 7th, 2021, he accepted Jesus our Lord as his Lord and Savior, and it was the most powerful day of his entire life. He was a NEW MAN. He was happy, at peace, filled with Joy and ready to do and be a servant for our Lord. He is survived by his wife Leti Faimoa-Bell, his children; Candace Pearl, Janelle Elizabeth, Skye Autumn, Sheldton Jr and Fhansci Adara. His Mother Georgia, His Godmother Darity, a devoted brother/best friend Antonio Gather (Tony-G) and Wendall-Wylie (VA), his sisters Sabrina and Stacey, his aunties, uncles, cousins, his only niece and nephew Sabriel and Semaj and many, many friends he made along the way. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Alamo Funeral Chapels. Graveside side services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:15 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A celebration of life service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at he House of Prayer and Evangelism , 5121 Crestway Dr., San Antonio, Texas 7878239.
