    Susan Ann Tullier

    November 12, 1951 - April 29, 2022

    Susan Ann Tullier Susan Ann Tullier went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2022, at the age of 70. Susan was born on November 12, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Gerald J and Janet S Tullier. Prior to retirement, she was a schoolteacher for over forty years serving in Louisiana (Visitation of Our Lady, Marrero, Louisiana; Holy Family School, Lafayette, Louisiana) and in Texas (St. Peter the Apostle, Ft. Worth, Texas; St. Mary’s, Longview, Texas; Westside Catholic, Christ the King (as Administrative Assistant and as Principal); Holy Rosary; and Briscoe Elementary, San Antonio, TX, as well as working the San Antonio ISD Adult Education Program for over ten years. She worked at the Wallace Cook Agency, Inc. as a data entry processor and accounting assistant for over twenty years. Susan taught English as a Second Language to the Royal Saudi Air Force Military at Shephard AFB where she received a two-star general award coin. She served her community as a member of the Holy Name Catholic Parish and San Antonio Highland Park Lion’s Club. She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald J Tullier, Janet S Tullier and her sister, Linne Tullier. She is survived by her sisters: Debra T Martin (Pat), Darlene Chanove (Conrad, Jr), Joan Tullier, Nanette Johnson and brothers, Kim Tullier (Karen), Gerald E. Tullier (Tara), Michael Tullier (Terri) and Gregory (Peck) Tullier (Cathy) along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Family, Jerry and Kathy Barclay, Mary and Lily Adams, Michael (Nadine) and Avah, Sophia and William Barclay, Dawn and Kyle Calandra who were with her during her cancer journey. Her friends, Al Fernandez, Ines Munguia, and Bertha Mireles have been her support and family for many years. They inspired, challenged, and changed her life because they became friends, she chose to become FAMILY to her. She was blessed to have them as part of her life. Susan was our butterfly-lighting where she was needed- giving love and laughter to us all. We were honored to have her as part of our life’s blessings. Family and friends will be received on May 21, 2022, from 9:00a.m. – 9:30a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3814 Nash Blvd., San Antonio, Texas 78223. Rosary will begin at 9:30a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Entombment will be in New Orleans, Louisiana at the family tomb at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
