Ursula Erika Branz

Ursula Erika Woitschaetzke Branz, age 80, of San Antonio, TX, peacefully passed away at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Born in Berlin, Germany, March 12,1942, Ursula came to America in November of 1966 engaged to John Robert "Bob" Branz. She became an American citizen and, based on prior education in Berlin, attained her RN License in the US. Ursula went on to work in a wide range of medical venues including ICU, cardiac cath lab, digestive disease clinic, pain management clinic, home health, rehabilitation hospital, and served as the head nurse of telemetry at Saint Luke's Medical Hospital (now Saint Luke's Baptist Hospital). Ursula was well known for her tenacity and persistence in pursuing excellence in every aspect of care for the patients she served. At home she enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and hosting with a European flair. Ursula was preceded in death by her loving husband, brother Klaus, sister Hannelore . She is survived by her son Clay (Patsy) Branz, son Bryan (Christina) Branz, stepdaughter Pam (the late Jeff), nine grandchildren: Sarah, Amy, Leann, Pamela, Evelyn, Audrey, Derrick, Felicity, and Gabriella and three great grandchildren Caden, Eli, and Elizabeth. Services will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapel Cherry Ridge 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, TX 78230 Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm The Funeral Service will be held Saturday April 16, 2022 at 3:00 PM
