Antonia M. Castillo was called home to the welcoming arms of Jesus Christ on May 09, 2016. Born in Monterrey, Mexico on June 09, 1929, to Hilario Martinez and Guadalupe Castillo Sanchez. Was survived by her husband Nasario Vidaurri Castillo of 65 years, Her Eldest Son Albert M. Castillo Patricia, and three granddaughters Jacqie C. Salvador Ruben 2 great grandchildren, Lillie Aguilar Sammy 3 great grandchildren, Ashley Castillo, Middle Son Victor M. Castillo Norma, and their four children Melissa Gutierrez 2 great grandchildren, Melinda Lamb Andrew, Marisa Ledesma Jose Luis 1 great grandchild, Victor M. Castillo Jr. Jessica, Only Daughter Yolanda C. Ortiz Joe, 4 grandchildren Eva Garcia Ramiro 4 great grandchildren, Jacob Terrazas Regina 3 great grandchildren, Aaron Terrazas Vanessa 3 great grandchildren, Eli Daniel Terrazas Michelle 5 great grandchildren. Antonia also survived by sister Lydia S. Dixon and brothers Israel C. Sanchez, Jose Luis Sanchez, Alejandro Sanchez, numerous nephews and nieces. Antonia was a longstanding member of the church in 1952 she faithfully attended Puerta Abierta a mission under the Primera Iglesia Bautista Fundamenal Mexicana pastored by missionary Baldomero Carrizales. She has been a member of Primera Igelsia Bautista Fundamental Mexicana; since 1955, when Dr. Manuel C. Ortiz at the Durango St. location founded the church. She was instrumental as a Sunday School Teacher she held that position for the past 40 years; her class was "La Clase de Noemi". Antonia was very active as the kitchen manager and held post such as the "Presidenta de la Femenil", Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, "Presidenta de la Femenil Companerismo Bautista" and other church events, including fundraisers, visitation, and monthly/annual fellowship. She meticulously chronicled the church history including baptisms, and appointments for church members, and sermon's in her bibles and journals. Antonia accompanied her husband to visit sister churches in California, Veracruz, Monterrey, Cd. Madero, Nuevo Laredo, and neighboring sister churches in Herford, Bloomington, and San Antonio area. Antonia attended seminary and absorbed a wealth of insight; and guided by the Holy Spirit continued to study her bible. She was always willing to share lessons as she mentored church members, family and friends. Antonia loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family. She peacefully said, "If I am not here in the morning, I will see you in heaven".
