William Lester Angell, born December 24, 1930 in Three Mile Bay, NY. went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on September 30, 2015 at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert C. Angell and Ruth Failing Angell, brother David C. Angell, sister Shirley Ruth Angell, granddaughter Megan Danielle Mendoza, and brother-in-law Kenneth A. Dejourdan. He is survived by his wife Josephine Mendoza Angell , sister Edna M. Angell Dejourdan, daughter Karen Ann Kruska and son Jon C. Angell Jill, stepchildren Kathy Ann Mendoza, Judy Elaine Lucio Manuel, Larry James Mendoza Eloisa, Steven Anthony Mendoza and Paul Joseph Mendoza Ashley, eleven grandchildren, four great grandsons, and one great granddaughter. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post No. 410- Medina Lake for 34 years, a life time member of Disabled Veterans, Texas 8 Masonic- AF&AM, a member of the Alzafar Shrine, the Kerr Klowns for over 25 years, member of the Medina Lake Shrine Club, served in the Air Force from 1950- 1970 during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and finally retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He later worked at the U.T. Health Science Center for 23 years. He was always there to help family members and friends in whatever they might need. He enjoyed being an Alzafar Shrine Clown and traveling with his wife during their eighteen years of marriage after his retirement from the UTHSC. Bill will be profoundly missed and will never be forgotten and will be forever in our hearts. He enjoyed life to its fullest, traveling all over the world with his wife. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, brother-in-law, neighbor, Mason and Shriner. The family would like to extend our thanks to the nurses that cared for him dearly during his stay at the Nix Hospital and also Hospice Compassus. Donations may be made to the Alzafar Children's Hospital in Bill's Honor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 5pm- 9pm with a 7pm prayer service at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Services will continue on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 9:30am at Divine Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
