Agnes Marie Schroeter, 91, of San Antonio, Texas was born on July 06, 1929, in La Coste, Texas. She died on August 15, 2020, at The Heights of Gonzales in Gonzales, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward John Bourquin and Lydia Ella Schneider Berg; her husband, Wessel S. Schroeter; her sister, Irene Manning; and her brothers, Herbert Bourquin and Arthur Bourquin. Agnes is survived by her sister, Rosalie Pierson of Arlington, and Charlotte Keller of San Antonio; and brother, Wilbert Bourquin, of San Antonio. She is also survived by three sons, Ernest Bartlett and his wife, Norma of Copperas Cove; his son, Tim Bartlett of San Antonio; and his two daughters, Heidi Bartlett of Killeen, and Laura Bartlett of San Antonio. Michael Bartlett and his wife, Raquel Bartlett of China Grove; his two daughters, Dawn Bartlett Hall and her husband, Craig of Little Elm; Nicole Dubose and her husband, Chip of Cibolo; his son, Michael Bartlett II of China Grove. Wyatt Bartlett and Debbie Walczyk of Kirby. Agnes is also survived by one daughter, Lydia Bartlett, Ed.D. of Moulton; and two stepchildren, Jeff Schroeter and his wife, Emily of Carrollton; and Ann Pieniazek of New Braunfels and her sons, M. Jordan Pieniazek of Pennsylvania and Blake Pieniazek of New Braunfels. Other survivors include: 11 great grandchildren (Devante, Scott, Caleb, Destiny, Donovan, Daniel, Austin, Bo, Brody, Sunee, Jacob) and one great great grandson, Cooper. Agnes received her GED from Fox Technical High School and retired from Kelly Air Force Base with 30 years work experience. She was a member of Good News Lutheran Church and held a lifetime membership of over 50 years as a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Agnes was the matriarch of our family and a friend. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Gonzales Memorial Hospital, the staff and nurses at The Heights of Gonzales and Heart to Heart Hospice for their kindness, professionalism, and ongoing dedication to being on the front line. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial be made in the name of Agnes M. Schroeter to Good News Lutheran Church.
