Andrew Jabbar Hernandez, age 42, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019. He never let the battle with his health issues define who he was. He fought the good fight and has won the prize of eternal peace and joy in heaven. Andrew Jabbar was born July 20, 1976 to his late Mother, Betty Lou Starkey, and raised in East San Antonio, TX by his late Grandma, Isabel Hernandez, also preceded by his Aunt Clara Mae Starkey, Cousin Jordan Lee Christian, as well as many other beloved family and friends. Andrew Jabbar was well educated in the S.A.I.S.D. He made an abundance of friends at every school he attended, many that became family to him. He was an easy going guy, loved to joke and make people laugh. He was kind, generous, and always willing to listen. His hobbies included playing pool, darts, dominoes, cards and lotteria, acquiring even more friends he would consider as family. Andrew Jabbar is survived by his wife Lisa Marie Hernandez of 22 years whom he cherished with unconditional love and devotion, and his only child, his heart, his son, A.J. Hernandez Jr whom he always spoke about with pride, and meant the world to him. Andrew Jabbar is also survived by Andy Hernandez he called Dad Alexander Davis he called Step-Dad, Eddie (Felipe) Starkey, Imani (Dexter) Grogan and The Lopez and Hernandez Families he called his Cousins. Brothers to him Andrew and Daniel Hernandez, Ruben(Jennifer)Flores, Rudy(Angela)Roacha, Steve(Kimberly)Marquez, Damon A, Rodney C, Patrick W, Freddy H, Shawn P, James S and many others. Continuously with his Mother in-law Mary Jean Bazadoni, Grandmother in-law Mary P. Herrera, Sister in-law Cheryl Hernandez, Brother in-law Andy Hernandez, Father in-law Hector Bazadoni, Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews who all accepted him as part of their large family. A special thanks to the friends of Andrew Jabbar’s wife, Yvonne(Mike)Brisko, Elizabeth (Adrian)Garza, Kimberly(Steve)Garza, for their comfort and kindness in her and my son’s time of need. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a memorial to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Alamo Funeral Chapels, 624 N. Alamo, San Antonio, Texas 78215. Graveside services and interment will be held at a later date.
