Anna Rose McDermott Price joined her Lord on November 15, 2023 at her residence in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 24, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to Michael Bertrand McDermott and Heneretta Gant. Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her beloved husband, McKinley Lee Price; son, James Timothy Price; sisters, Marie Beasley, Mildred Levy, Lillian Wright and Mary Alice Rowlans; and brothers, Michael McDermott and Bertrand McDermott; granddaughters, Paula Price and Darlene Kirk. She is survived by her sons McKinley Lee Price Jr., (Sharon) Michael Price (Janet), Joseph Wayne Price (Joan) and daughters, Mary Torres (Randall) and Rose Kersch (Charles); and grandchildren Angela Fischer (Sammy), Michael Price (Heather), Kenneth Price (Saraha), Terry Price, Christine Denzer (David), Candance Price, Joseph Price (Kate), Karla Frias, Katherine Aguirre (Willie), Chad Kirk, Anna Klug (Kenneth) and Charles Kersch (Ashlie), 33 great-grandchildren and 8 great great grand children. Anna met her husband after WWII. She was working at Klotus Candy factory when she met her husband. She was doing a man's job and had to give the job back to McKinley since the war was over. She married the love of her life June 30, 1947. She traveled the world with her spouse in the Air Force. They were stationed to San Antonio Texas in 1962 where they made it their home. Anna retired from Food City/Grocery Warehouse after 17 years in the meat department. Her favorite things were to go to the Kentucky Derby, Wurst Fest, bingo and casinos. She was one lucky lady. She also enjoyed having a good cold beer and listening to live music. One thing she honestly believed in was life is for the living, She lived a full life, All will deeply miss her. SERVICES Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 6:00pm-8:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, Texas. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
