Colonel Anthony J. DiBaggio, USAF, Retired Colonel Anthony J. DiBaggio, USAF, Retired, passed away on March 5, 2018 at the age of 88. Colonel DiBaggio was a graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He entered the United States Air Force at the onset of the Korean conflict and served for some 30 years in various Staff and Command positions worldwide. During his Air Force career, he and his family spent many years at overseas installations. Colonel DiBaggio and first wife Beverly L. DiBaggio chose San Antonio, Texas as their final retirement home. Colonel DiBaggio retired from the service in 1979 and worked as a banking executive and teacher. He is survived by his wife Sherry A. Johnson, step-daughters Shelly Johnson and Wendy O'Brien of San Antonio, TX, sons David A. DiBaggio and Brad M. DiBaggio of San Clemente, CA, son Richard J. DiBaggio of San Antonio, TX, daughters-in-law Yvonne DiBaggio, Sharon Song DiBaggio and Barbara Cerna, grandchildren Bethany, Gregory and Zachary, step-grandchildren Brenden, Jessica and Justin, brother Al DiBaggio and sister-in-law Joan DiBaggio. Grave side services with full Military Honors will be held at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:30 am on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cancer Therapy and Research Center of San Antonio (CTRC), 7979 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78229 or Blue Skies of Texas–Freedom House, 12455 Freedom Way, San Antonio, Texas 78245.
