Antonio Rey Castillo was born to Francisco and Mary Castillo on May 15, 1969. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary and his beloved dogs Mia Louise and Zeke, aka “Papasitos”. Tony, as he was referred to by his family and friends, was a kind, caring, and giving person. He was a great son, brother, uncle, and friend. Tony retired from at&t after a 25-year career. Tony had an incredible work ethic. Whatever he set out to do he did it to the best of his ability. He was proud to be a hard worker. His work ethic was something he learned from his father. After retirement from at&t he ventured to a new career as a car sales consultant. His new career suited him well. As everyone said, he had the personality for it. As anyone who knew Tony, knew his personality was like no other. He was the funniest, most witty guy one would ever meet. His sense of humor was unmatched. Tony was also kind and sensitive, with a huge heart. He’d light up the room with his presence. Tony was a fan of all sports, he was a life-long fan of the San Antonio Spurs, he had a love/hate relationship for the Dallas Cowboys, and he loved fishing. Trips to Rockport was something he did growing up with his family, and extended family of which he had many fond memories. Music was also a huge part of Tony’s world. Alternative was his favorite, but he liked ALL genres. Tony also enjoyed morning bike rides and afternoons on the patio barbequing wings and fajitas on the Big Green Egg-he was the King of Grilling. His ideal afternoons were spent grilling while listening to Pandora, watching sports on tv, playing with the Gruesome Twosome “G2” (his dogs) and having a cold one. Tony is survived by his father, Francisco Castillo, his brother, Frankie, sister-in-law Maria, sisters Cindy and Angel, nieces Crystal, Norma Jean, Sabina and Angelina, nephews Dean and Cody, great niece Elliana, great nephews Trinidad and Sean Jr. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins and his former wife and best friend, Cristi Castillo, and his most cherished dogs, his Boys, Dezi and Tux, “G2”. He is also survived by his former in-laws, Pete and Rosie Guajardo, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ceci and Manny Lorenzo. He will greatly missed. Rest in Peace Antonio.
