Aroldo Rodriguez, Jr., age 58, passed away on April 15, 2025 surrounded by loved ones and the people he cherished. Aroldo was born on August 28, 1966 in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico. He spent 30 years living in Chicago and graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 1988. He moved to San Antonio in 1998 to pursue his relationship with Rita Hernandez and worked at USAA for 26 years. A devoted husband, a loving father, and a lifelong sports enthusiast, Aroldo lived his life with heart, humor, and unwavering loyalty—especially to his beloved Chicago Cubs. Whether he was watching a game at Wrigley Field or cheering from his favorite chair at home, he never missed a pitch and never lost hope, no matter the score. Aroldo’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his son, Marco. He cherished every moment they spent together—deep conversations about life lessons that only grew deeper with time. His love for his son was fierce, proud, and unconditional. He was also a rock for his wife, Rita showing her a steady kindness and deep respect every day of their life together. They were married for 25 loving years and their bond was a quiet kind of strength, built on trust, faith, joy, and shared dreams for Marco. Aroldo will be remembered for his stories about his beloved Chicago, dad jokes, his generous spirit, and the way he made everyone feel like they mattered. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends who became family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his wife, Rita; his son, Marco; His father, Aroldo Sr.; his sister Diana Gosnell; his nephew and niece, in-laws and brother in laws… He was preceded in death by his mother Carolina… Visitation will be held on April 23, 2025 at 5:30 PM to 7 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (223 E. Summit San Antonio, TX 78212) followed by a rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held April 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (223 E. Summit San Antonio, TX 78212) followed by interment at Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemetery Dominion (20900 I.H. 10 West, San Antonio, Texas 78230). Go Cubs Go!
