Beatrice T. Dixon age 65 of San Antonio passed away peacefully Saturday, July 13, 2024. Loving wife to Christopher Dixon of 38 years, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. A great friend to many people. She had a wonderful, charitable heart; a very strong mind and lived her life to the fullest. She was a fantastic Cajun cook and loved her food and sharing it with family and friends. She loved to fish, crab and camp and laugh with her family and close friends and especially her “Boggy Creek Peeps”. She cherished her wonderful Gunner dog who recently passed. “Bea” grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and later in Winnie, Texas with a lot of family including her loving Mother, Jeanette, Sister, Theresa Clow and her loving Father, Aaron Bergeron and all her Cousins. Chris and Bea met in Winnie in 1982 and later married in San Antonio August 28, 1987. They had a long and very happy marriage, full of fun, adventure, family and friends from Texas all the way to Florida. Bea loved her stepdaughter Cheyenne and was so thankful for her relationship with her and the Grandkids and the time she was able to spend together with them sharing food, especially her famous Gumbo with them with lots of love and laughter. She is preceded in death by her Mother, her Father, her Grandmother, and her Mother-in-law, Nolly. Bea is survived by Chris; her Stepdaughter, Cheyenne; her Grandchildren, Alonso, Isabel and Davion; her Step-Grandchildren, Annadene and Dan; her Sister, Theresa; her Father-in-law, Joseph Dixon; her Step-Mother, Helen Andrea; Sisters-in-law, Pam and her husband, Jack and Shari; her Brother, Clint, her stepsister Kimberly and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Bea was strong in her faith and had given herself to the Lord and her strength of faith should be an example for all of us. Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 10:30 am-1:30 pm at St. Matthew Catholic Church Parish Hall, 10703 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78230. The service will be from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and will include a catered lunch. Bea’s wish was that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Samaritan‘s Purse, Operation BBQ Relief or Mercy Chefs.
