Beulah Lee Hogan (nee Hooks) July 25, 1932 - January 30, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Beulah “Bea” “Prissy” Lee Hogan, on January 30, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on July 25, 1932, in Charlotte, Texas. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Jaquelyn Hogan, son-in-law Robert Chestnut, her grandchildren Mindy Hogan and Ryan Hogan, her two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Christopher Montana Hooks and Elsie Louella Childress Hooks, beloved husband J.T. Hogan, her children Randall Thomas Hogan and Karen Gail Chestnut, and her sisters. Bea lived a full and vibrant life. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who took great pride in caring for her family. Family was very important to Bea, and she acted as the family historian, keeping track of important dates for both immediate and extended family. She was very supportive of her grandchildren, attending games as she could, and she never missed a rodeo. Bea was always very active. She worked as a library assistant in a mobile library for Harlandale ISD and then later at McCollum High. She enjoyed walking in the neighborhood in the evenings, gardening (she especially loved to grow flowers), was an avid crossword enthusiast, enjoyed dancing, enjoyed Bunco, and was an avid reader. She was a good cook and an excellent baker! Bea also took pride in her appearance. She was an elegant dresser, always dressing, accessorizing, and doing her hair and make-up carefully. Bea was a woman of faith, who attended church for many years. She was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm smile, her mischievous humor, and her unwavering love. Beulah will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Final Viewing Saturday February 8, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Burial Park South.
