Bill Paz Rodriguez September 27, 1947 - January 29, 2025 Bill Paz Rodriguez, age 77, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. He was born on September 27, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas. Bill loved the United States Navy. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country, and was honorably discharged after four years of dedicated service. He was active with Parks and Recreation, San Antonio Softball Association, TAAF, St. Gerard High School, and Holy Name. Bill was a lover of sports, and was a die-hard Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan. That love of sports was passed down to his children, Ellen and Billy, who both played numerous sports throughout their upbringing. You could often see him in the stands with a smile on his face, and his heart full of pride; not only for their accomplishments on the field, but also the individuals they were becoming. He also took great delight in watching his grandchildren, Luke and Kylie, participate in various sports and activities. Bill loved attending the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, especially when Jenn Brown-Richards, his "rodeo girl" would perform. He had always wanted to be a bull rider. His last place of employment was The San Antonio Zoo, serving in Visitor Relations and as a Security Guard. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a dear friend to many. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, BeeBee Fakier Rodriguez, his children; Ellen Rodriguez and spouse J.J. Lyons, Billy Rodriguez Jr. and spouse Crystal Hollywood-Rodriguez; grandchildren, Luke and Kylie Rodriguez; sisters, Eva Marquez and spouse Juan Marquez, Dolores Celedon; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and family. Preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Eva P. Rodriguez. "Jesus, I Trust In You" Funeral Mass will be celebrated on February 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with a rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m. and visitation to follow from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church. Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with a procession to depart the church at 1:15 p.m.
