EALY On October 14, 2011 Our Dear Lord sent His Angels to surround the bed in the home of Trudy Kwasny Ealy and guided her soul into His glorious promised land. Trudy is the loving daughter of Anna & Otto Kwasny who patiently awaited her arrival to her eternal home. Trudy graduated nursing school from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois in 1942. She then joined the Army Nurse Corp where she advanced to the rank of Captain at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. There she met an Army Air Corp patient who was a pilot critically wounded in Germany during WWII and from there a great love story began. She married Captain Jack Ealy in 1947 and together they gave life to 8 children: Michael, Patricia, Sharon, Thomas, Mark, Robert, Steven and Therese. Trudy has 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren whom she loved with a powerful passion. Trudy's labor of Love was nursing. She enjoyed helping at local orphanages with many donations of time and necessities. She felt it was her duty to volunteer with political campaigning . She spent many hours with our Lord Jesus at Eucharistic Adoration. Trudy loved to read, write poetry, paint and spend time with her grandchildren and pets. Trudy was not only a loving and devoted wife, mother and teacher and friend who walked in many different shoes; she was also our angel and our closest friend on Earth. Even though our hearts are breaking now, we have the peace of knowing that she is completely in the grace of God and the loving arms of our dear Blessed Mother Mary, her patron at her entrance into the Catholic Church. Trudy is preceded in death by her baby brother Robert and younger sister Mildred Haynes, and her beloved grandson Christopher. She is survived by her younger sister Eleanor Holcomb of Decatur IL, and above all her loving soul-mate and husband Jack Maurice Ealy. SERVICES Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with the Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James Cashin celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
