Tributes

On the evening of March 2, 2019., Carlos H. Faz Sr. went to be with the Lord. He had been surrounded by his family and friends all throughout the day, and when the time came to say goodbye to everyone, it was then that he took his last breath laying next to his wife Lupe comfortably in their bed surrounded by the presence of the Holy Spirt. Carlos went up to heaven and was reunited with his father Sam P. Faz Sr., paternal-grandmother Estella Faz, maternal-grandmother Petra S. Lopez, sister Sandra L. Faz, and nephew Sian Zamora. Carlos is survived by his wife Lupe, who cared for him and was at his side constantly. He also leaves behind his mother Ofelia H. Faz, whom he loved dearly. Carlos is also survived by his children; April M. Faz (Lupe), Sophia M. Garza (David), Tiffany R. Faz, Carlos H. Faz Jr, and Sheila L. Bazan. Siblings: Stella Duque (Joe), Sam P. Faz Jr. (Lorena), Judy Gonzales (Danny). Grandchildren: Ariel E. Salazar, Nicole M. Salazar, Nicholas M. Salazar, Joshua J. Salazar, D’Ann M. Rios, Alyssa J. Garza, Jasmine S. Garza, Emerie A. Garza, and one great-granddaughter Mila E. Garcia. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, friends, and two family pets, his German Shepherd Blue aka (Blue-Boy) and his Chihuahua Rico. Carlos battled cancer for the last fifteen months of his life, but in the end the Lord lifted his tired and battle scarred body up to heaven where he would be free from pain. He will be missed dearly everyday by his family, especially by his wife, kids, and grandkids, to whom he showed and gave so much unconditional love to each and every one of them. A love like no other, he simply was and will remain one of the BEST! Anytime you want to feel his presence all you have to do is close your eyes and let the warm sun or the light of the moon reflect on your face and feel the Breeze… The visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Palm Heights Mortuary with a 7:00 PM Rosary. The procession will depart at 12:30 PM for a 1:00 PM Mass, on Friday, March 8, 2019, at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
