After a hard fight with cancer, Cathy L Glasgow Loftice, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, has gone to be with her Lord August 24. Cathy was 58. Cathy spent many years in the food service industry, the last 15 at Jims Restaurant San Pedro Location where she was often a requested server. Cathy touched many of her patrons lives with her generous heart, her wonderful sense of humor and her sincere kind smile. She had many fond memories with her extended family, as she often referred to her coworkers and patrons. Although Cathy's fondest memories were those she cherished with her family. After her mother passed at a very young age, Cathy was devoted to her brothers, and family was where she drew her strength. She grew up to be a very hard working woman, working long hours to provide for her boys, and later her granddaughter Desiree. She never let them go without. Cathy was always happiest when spending time with her kids and grand kids. One of her all time favorite memories however, was her annual beach trip to Port Aransas when Cathy would load up the kids and grand-kids and spend a much needed long weekend at the beach spoiling her family. It was some of the happiest times of her life. When Cathy was diagnosed with cancer a year ago, she faced it head on and never allowed herself to give up or feel sorry for herself. She kept a positive and determined attitude through it all. A character trait she instilled in her family. She will be forever missed and loved by many. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents Margaret Ritter Glasgow and Cecil Glasgow; her loving brothers Ronald and Richard Glasgow; and her husband and love of her life Robert Loftice II. She is survived by her son Robert Loftice III and his wife Cristina, son Corey Loftice; grand children Desiree, Bryan and Jaxyn Loftice and step grand-children DJ Casias and Angel Rios; her sister in law, Donna Glasgow who was far more than just a sister in law, and a strong family support system which included aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews. All of whom meant the world to her. She is also survived by her extended family at Jim's, Carol, Judy, Elaine, Celia, Jon, Annie, Ron, Artie, Melissa, Danny and Terry each of whom held a special place in her heart. Memorial services will be held Thursday September 10, 2015 at 2pm at Holy Spirit Church located at 8134 Blanco Road San Antonio Texas 78216. A potluck reception will follow in the family room after the memorial.
