Chester J. Jendrusch was born on August 20, 1929 and went to be with his Lord & Savior on January 24, 2013 at the age of 83 yrs, 5 mos, and 4 days after a long illness. Born in Cestohowa TX, Chester is preceded in death by his parents John & Tesia Jendrusch, his sister Irene, his twin brother Edmond, and his brother Marvin Jendrusch. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Agnes, daughter Laura Jendrusch Luedecke, daughter Elaine Krueger and her husband Jimmy, daughter Janice Lubel and her husband Dickie, son Gregory Jendrusch and his wife Cindy, son Michael Jendrusch and his wife Mitzi; grandchildren Jeffrey Luedecke, Michelle Luedecke, Kimberly Luedecke James Morrow, Shannon Krueger Carson Hebert, Valerie Krueger, Jaclyn Jarzombek Joseph Ruli, Julie Jarzombek, Jake Jarzombek, Matthew Theresa Jendrusch, Zachary Jendrusch, Meghan Jendrusch Blaine Akin, Marla Jendrusch; Lance Lubel, Ginny Josh Miller, Zachary Riser, Zeke Riser; great-grandchildren Tatum, Connor, Kendall, Gisele, Caroline, John Thomas, Madeleine, Clare, Jacob, James, Joseph, Azlynn; brothers Fabian, Lucian & Ernest Jendrusch; sisters Gladys Waclawczyk, Catherine Hildebrand & Lillian Kotzur; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Chester was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He served in the Army National Guard for 5 years followed by a sales career which he enjoyed for more than 50 years until he retired in 2002. He was an active member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church for 48 years and showed his devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary by praying the rosary daily. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #4315 and a lifetime member of Highlands & Martinez Social Clubs. Hobbies were fishing, Bar-B-Qing, gardening and sports especially baseball, enjoyed bowling, trips to Coushatta and traveling with his loving wife and spending time with family and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Fr. Eddie Bernal; Amedisys Hospice and Home Health; and Helping Our Seniors for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Benedict's Building Fund. Visitation will begin on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
