Chrisanto L. Ramos Sr. went to be with The Lord at the age of 63, on Saturday, December 10, 2016 in his home with his loving wife and family along his bedside. He was born in San Antonio, Tx on March 28, 1953 to Reymundo and Nasaria Ramos. Surviving relatives include his wife of 43 years, Dianna Ramos; son, Chrisanto L. Ramos Jr. (Jessica), daughter, Melissa Balderamas (John), sons, Mark Anthony Ramos (Vangie), Greg Cantu (Belinda); sisters, Margaret Ramirez (Simon), Magdalena Garcia (Manuel); brothers, Reymondo Ramos Jr. (Linda), Juan Ramos (Mary), Victor Ramos (Sweetie), Joe Ramos (Rachel); grandchildren, Trey, John John, Mikey, Franky, Chino, Jake, Baby Marky; great-grandchildren, Timothy and Emma. In his early years, Chris was a bus boy at the Tower of Americas. After graduating from Burbank High School, which he was a diehard Bulldog, he then married his true love Dianna in 1973 at St. James Catholic Church. After joining the workforce, he took a job in a warehouse and immediately took an interest to becoming a truck driver, he then started driving for Nationwide delivering paper goods. His passion was to drive a tanker but he had to wait until he turned 25 for insurance purposes. He then got his break with Mission Petroleum, he not only took pride in driving, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in the industry. Over the years, his driving expertise and reputation led him to achieve outstanding safe driver. He then worked for the City of San Antonio also as a truck driver. He loved every minute he spent in the truck. After retiring from the City in 2004, he spent most of his time in his storage room building anything he could think of and completed many projects, he loved working with his hands. He also loved taking long rides on his motorcycle when the weather good. Chris loved spending time with his family every chance he got whether it was for a family celebration, backyard bar-b-q or simply gathering to watch his SPURS or COWBOYS. We would like to give a very special thank you to Belinda Romo his caregiver, we are truly blessed to have her in our family, Chris really enjoyed her company and laughs. Thank you Tia Belin. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South located at 1700 SE Military Dr. from 5 to 9pm, with a prayer service beginning at 7pm. A funeral service will be at City South Church located at 503 Moursund Blvd. on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 11am. Interment to immediately follow at San Jose Cemetery.
