Consuelo S. Gonzalez, a devoted mother and beloved family member, entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2026, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vicente Gonzalez; her son, Arnold (Ida) Gonzalez; her parents, Cipriano and Consuelo Salas; her brothers, Joe Salas and Manuel Salas; and her sisters, Rosa Gauna and Maria Garza. She was a woman whose life was defined by faith, hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for her children and grandchildren. From an early age, Consuelo understood the value of dedication and perseverance. She worked tirelessly throughout her life, always putting the needs of her family before her own. No matter how demanding her days were, she met every challenge with strength, grace, and quiet determination. Above all else, Consuelo was a mother. Her children were her greatest pride and joy, and everything she did was for their happiness, security, and future. She gave endlessly of herself—through her time, her sacrifices, her encouragement, and her unconditional love. Her home was a place of warmth, care, and comfort, where everyone felt welcomed and valued. Consuelo was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. She had a way of making others feel seen and cared for, often offering help without being asked and giving love without expectation. Her compassion touched many lives, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Roland (Nancy) Gonzalez, Melissa Gonzalez, Vincent (Angelica) Gonzalez, and Gina (Janice) Gonzalez; as well as her grandchildren, Teryn, Teyler, Daniella, Gabriella, Jacqueline, Jakob, and Camilla; great-grandsons, Grayson and Mason; her beloved family pet, Chiqui; her sister, Lile Salas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, her legacy lives on through the values she instilled, the love she shared, and the lives she shaped. Consuelo will forever be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the boundless love she shared with others. Her memory will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Palm Heights Mortuary, 3711 S. Zarzamora San Antonio, Texas 78225. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 1321 El Paso St, San Antonio, Texas 78207 with a procession to depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park at later date.
