Dana Elaine Earthman, our beloved sister, mother, and grandma went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2024. Dana was known for her kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality. Born on January 13, 1950, Dana lived a life filled with tremendous passion and compassion for others. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeff Earthman, son Jeffery Earthman Jr, and parents Morris and Juanita Pundt. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Earthman, granddaughter Natalie Gutierrez (Jorge), great grandchildren Carlie, Luke, Jorge III, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by eight siblings Allan, Renee (Mark), Pamela, Tricia (Kenny), Mark (Faye), Janice (Clay), Danny (Donna), and Tammy. Dana graduated from Highlands High School in 1967 and was a member of the Highlands High School Brigade. Her years after high school were spent working at Southwestern Bell, Armstrong & McCall Beauty Supply, and Lackland AFB Post Office. She often carried on two jobs at a time. Dana always took advantage of the life God gave her and lived life to its fullest. Her love of her family, her dogs, and her zest for making every day count made her such a positive force amongst her loved ones. Dana loved plants and could always be seen working in her yard. She enjoyed watching everything grow and had a natural green thumb. She loved baking, cooking, barbecuing, going to the casinos, and taking fishing trips. “That corner house” with the beautiful backyard was always beautifully maintained, she loved it so. Her daughter Jennifer became her caregiver. Jennifer was her rock and cared for her unselfishly, along with her sisters, Janice, Tammy, and Tricia. She was the most cherished person we knew and had a heart for those in need. She taught us so much about looking forward to the next day. We learned how to be optimistic and to always love and cherish everything. She had an infectious sense of humor we’ll never forget. Dana never took life so seriously that she waned from living it wholeheartedly. Dana’s love for her family and friends was paralleled by her enjoyment of simply hanging out with them. Whether it was a backyard barbecue, family gathering, or casual meet up, Dana was always the happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. We will miss her dearly but find peace when reflecting on a life well lived-a life filled with laughter, love, and memories that will be treasured forever. As we reminisce and pay our respects, we take comfort in knowing that Dana’s journey was a remarkable one by the countless lives she touched and incredible bonds she forged. Dana’s life will be honored in a ceremony that reflects the values she held dear. Services for Dana will be held on October 5, 2024, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Visitation will be held at 10:00am and the Funeral Service will start at 12:00pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Mission Burial Park South Cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. William Wu, her cardiologist, for his unwavering care, kindness, and friendship throughout the years.
