In Loving Memory of Daniel Monreal With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Monreal, who peacefully departed this life at his home at the age of 54. Daniel was a gentle and kind-hearted soul whose love for his family, especially his beloved son Xander, was immeasurable. His quiet strength, compassionate spirit, and genuine kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a remarkable ability to make others smile with his quick wit and warm sense of humor, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and peace to family and friends alike. A kid at heart, Daniel found joy in the simple things that made life special. He loved getting lost in a good book, spending hours gaming, and collecting treasured memorabilia that reflected his unique interests and playful spirit. His enthusiasm was contagious, and the memories he created with those he loved will continue to bring smiles for years to come. For more than 10 years, Daniel proudly served the Southside community through his work with Harlandale Independent School District. He approached his work with the same kindness, patience, and compassion that defined his life, making a positive difference for countless students, families, and colleagues. His dedication to serving others left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten. Daniel is lovingly survived by his son, Xander Monreal; his parents, Yolanda Monreal and Domingo Monreal; his brother, Richard Monreal; his sister, Jeanette Romero; and his cherished nephews and nieces, Nate Monreal, Noah Monreal, Carlos Romero, Benjamin Romero, and Ava Romero. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Elisa and John Felan, and Lorenzo and Angelita Monreal, whose love and guidance helped shape the man he became. We find comfort in believing they welcomed him home with open arms. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find peace in knowing that Daniel's legacy is one of kindness, humility, laughter, and unconditional love. He reminded us that a gentle heart can leave the deepest impression and that a life lived with compassion is a life well lived. Daniel will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
