David Garcia Born June 5, 1951 San Antonio TX Passed January 7, 2025 San Antonio TX David Garcia live a long and beautiful life of 73 years of age. He is preceded in death by his parents Rudy and Frances Garcia, siblings Rudy Garcia, Alice Robles, Raymond Garcia, Mary Aguirre, and Elizabeth Garcia, best friend Danny Gonzalez David is survived by his wife of 50 years Christine Garcia, siblings Michael (Laura) Garcia, Joseph Garcia, and Christopher (Mary Ann) Garcia, children Donna (Joshua) Lowe, Sandra Garcia, and Jonathan (Sonia) Garcia, grandchildren Nathan Soliz, Giovanni Leija, Logan Martinez, Damian Perales, Chloe Garcia, Lucas Martinez, Samantha Perales, Savannah Perales, and Elizabeth Garcia as well as numerous nieces and nephews. David was born in San Antonio, Texas and temporary relocated to Fort Worth before moving back to San Antonio where he attended Burbank High School c/o '69. He enlisted in the arm services through the US Air Force branch in 1969 where he was stationed overseas in Thailand during the Vietnam War. David was honorably discharged in 1973 where he received his Veteran status. He later met his beautiful wife Christine and started a family with three (3) beautiful children. He had a long career as an Aircraft Mechanic working on C-5 and C-135 carrier planes at Kelly AFB in the Civil Service branch. He also worked at Warner Robbins AFB (Georgia), Tinker AFB (Oklahoma), and finished his career at Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), where he retired in 2007. He loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandkids. He loved that he served his country and proudly displayed that he was an Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed receiving the many deserved praises for his Air Force service to our country. He was always very friendly and could talk to anyone even if he just met them. He had a love for beer, jamming to music, and capturing moments through pictures and photography of his family, friends and events with his many cameras. He had a passion and love for many of his favorite sports teams including the Spurs, Patriots, UTSA Roadrunners, UT Longhorns (Hook 'em Horns) and especially his Cowboys. The Rosary and all viewings and visitations will be at Alamo Funeral Home located at 624 N Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78215. The mass will be held at Senyor Santo Nino de Cebu Catholic Church located at 5655 Rigsby Ave, San Antonio, TX 78222; interment with military honors to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located at 1520 Harry Wurzach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209. Sunday, January 26, 2025: Visitation for family and friends will begin at 2 pm; Regular Viewing will be from 4 pm - 6:30 pm; Rosary begins at 6:30 pm. Monday, January 27, 2025: Visitation for all will be from 8:30 am - 11:30 am; Procession to church begins at 11:45 am; Mass will be at 12:30 pm; Burial of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather will be at 2:15 pm. All friends and family are welcome
