In Loving Memory of Our Dad, David Martinez With hearts full of love and gratitude, we, the children of David Martinez, honor the life of our beloved father, who passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on December 29, 1950, in Alaquines, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Dad lived a life filled with faith, love, and dedication to his family and the Lord. Dad gave his life to Christ and was baptized on March 29, 1987, a pivotal moment that shaped his life and ministry. For 14 years, he faithfully served as a minister and assistant pastor at Holy Zion Apostolic Church. During this time, he also directed a Christian radio program “Así Dijo Jesús” on KCHG 810 AM, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through the airwaves. In 1997, Dad answered God’s call to serve as the Pastor of Apostolic Praise Center, where he and our family ministered together for 11 years. His heart for sharing God’s word and his love for people left an indelible mark on countless lives. After decades of ministry, Dad retired from Pastoring Apostolic Praise Center in 2013 to spend much-needed time with his beautiful family, a role he cherished deeply. His legacy of sowing Gods word continued through Apostolic World Alliance, Inc. where he served as an evangelist. Dad also owned and operated Moctezuma Trucking, a business that combined his strong work ethic with his ability to connect with others. Known as “El Sembrador” (The Sower) on CB radio during the 1990s, he continued sowing seeds of faith and hope wherever he went. Whether behind the pulpit, on the airwaves, or on the road, he shared the good news of Jesus at every opportunity. The fruits of his labor are still evident today in the many lives he touched. He was a devoted husband to our mom, Maria Estela Martinez, recently celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on November 23rd, a loving father to us—Nidia Cynthia Lopez (Cesar Lopez), Jocelyn Amaris Martinez, and Israel Alejandro Martinez (Lucia Martinez)—and a proud grandfather to Zoe Isabella and Liam Alexander Martinez. He was also a proud grand-pawther of Leonidas and Goldie Lopez (his grand-furbabies). He is survived by his sister, Margarita Martinez and family, cousin, Artemia Moctezuma and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dario Martinez and Florencia Moctezuma Martinez and lastly, Rambo his loyal 4-legged companion. Dad was not only our spiritual guide and family leader but also a kind, joyful, and hardworking man who made friends everywhere he went. His legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in us and in all those he impacted. Dad, you sowed seeds of faith and love in so many hearts and your unwavering devotion to God and your family inspires us to carry your legacy forward. We miss you deeply but rejoice in knowing you are now in the presence of the Lord, healed and hearing the words, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” #LegacyOfASower
