Diane Tingle, 82, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2025. Born Constance Diane Gunnoe on Jan. 16, 1943, to Aubrey R. “Ray” and Mary Leola Gunnoe in San Antonio, Texas, she was a proud 1961 graduate of Harlandale High School, where she was the featured baton twirler in the band and played the lead role in “Annie Get Your Gun” her senior year. She attended junior college and worked at the PX at Lackland AFB, where she earned runner-up in the 1962 Miss Lackland contest. She met the “love of her life,” Charles A. “Chuck” Tingle, at a Texas A&M Aggie ring dance, and they married on Nov. 24, 1962, at a tiny roadside justice of the peace. They lived briefly in College Station, Texas, where Chuck was completing his senior year at his beloved A&M. Diane, forever a maroon-blooded honorary Aggie, would go on to raise a wonderful and loving family in San Antonio with Chuck, all while being a working mom with vice president roles at Mercantile Bank, First Federal Savings & Loan, and CitiSavings, and serving in the accounting department at Marmon Mok Architecture. Diane was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years and is survived by two sisters, Linda Teat and husband James of Plano, Texas; Laura Sigmon and husband John of Sugar Land, Texas; one son, Travis Tingle and wife Lisa of San Antonio; two daughters, Tracy Inscore and husband Lane of San Antonio; and Jill Potter and husband Jeff of Southlake, Texas; and six grandchildren, Jacob and Zachry Tingle (and wife Maggie); Kendall and Kylee Inscore; and Aubrey and Grayson Potter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Aggie Park in San Antonio or the S.A. A&M Club Foundation. The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Enclave, especially Nurses Grace and John, who supported Diane during the last months of her life. SERVICES Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by the Rosary at 9:30 A.M. and the Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Road. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
