Dolores Ann Parks Horton, 79, died June 23, 2017 at approx 2:50 AM at Warm Springs Hospital, New Braunfels, Texas following a brief illness. The cause of death was from a rare blood disease, Wegener's granulomatosis known as GPA Disease. She leaves her husband of 26 years, William Stanley Horton, married Nov 30, 1991 in San Antonio, Texas. Her son James “Jim” Edward Dorsett, predeceased, and one sister predeceased, two brothers and nieces, nephews and many cousins. They include her brother, Gerald Gordon Parks from Plano, Texas and wife Deanna Louise Carpenter Parks, their children: Danny, Dennis, David, and Michael and their spouses and children. Also her brother Stephen Edward Parks from Laguna Beach, CA and his husband Michael J. Krauchenko, one sister Kitty Sue Parks and her son William Robert “Robbie” Gaiser II, both predeceased. Maternal Relatives of Dolores’s mother, Edna Marie Berg’s family include Phillip Edward Berg and wife Darline Steele Berg both predeceased, their two daughters, Phyllis Darline Berg Ward, Joan Marie Berg King. The combined families, Robin Thomas, Rick Baskin, Wendy McFarland and Pamela Connelly and Terri Toman (predeceased) plus their combined children and spouses. Paternal Relatives of the Gordon Isaac Parks’ family, include his sister Sibyl, husband Oscar “Alec” Alexander both predeceased and their children to include: Kenneth, predeceased, Gretchen Cline, their children, Leslei and Richard, Becky Jo and Cody, both predeceased. Jerry predeceased, Charisse ‘Sherry’, Kenneth predeceased, Dottye, Shirley Beth, Mark and David, their spouses and all their combined children. She leaves many close friends from the VFW in Canyon Lake and her RV friends. Born and raised in Texas, after graduating from Borger High School in 1955, she attended West Texas State in Canyon, Texas. She married William H. “Dub” Dorsett, in Borger, Texas. During the 1970’s-1980’s Dolores lived overseas in Tripoli and Indonesia, where she learned to shop among the best. She loved visiting and seeing new sites and going to the world’s famous places. Her parents spent many months with Jimmy, her son, in these far away places sharing cherished memories and adventures. Jimmy’s friend, Penny Brown was there to provide comfort and care. Thank you.
