Edward Dugosh was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Gladys and Anton Dlugosh on September 8, 1936. He passed away in the comfort of his own home on July 14, 2024. He is preceded in passing by his parents, his brother, Leonard Dlugosh, his son, Darren "Dino" Dugosh, and his grandsons, Edward "Bo" Dugosh III, and Darek Schuchart. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Edith "Edie" Dugosh, his daughter, Donna Schuchart Dugosh, his sons, Eddie "Bobo" (Stacey) Dugosh Jr., and Darryl (Christina Rydell) Dugosh, his grandchildren, Amberlee Dugosh Hicks (Trey Hicks) and Joey Hart, and great granddaughter, Stormie Hicks, as well as numerous other loved ones. Edward was a very colorful character loved by all. Growing up, he was a child entertainer. He got his start under the name, "Eddie Dugosh and the Ah-Ha Playboys". He graduated from Brackenridge high school, then went on to travel with his music professionally. Edward found himself in Las Vegas, known as Eddie Dugosh and the RedTops. He retired from music eventually, and came back home to San Antonio. Alongside his wife, Edward began a dog grooming service. They owned "Dog World" on Military Dr. From "Dog World" he started a pawn shop. He would groom the pups, then use that money to lend it out through the Southside Pawn Shop. He never truly stopped being an entertainer. The pawnshop had just become his new stage. Even after Edward sold the business and retired, he still loved going to swap meets and flea markets to sell jewelry, among other things. He never gave up his love to be around the people he had met through the Pawn Shop. He would buy toys to give away to all of the kids that he would see shopping with their family, and he would give away rings to the nurses helping him even. He was a giving and loving man. He gave his money, time, energy, and love to everyone around him. Oftentimes you could find him helping bathe dogs for his family's business and helping them out however he could. He never seemed to mind much when it came to helping with the animals. He absolutely loved them. From the smallest dog to the largest horse, he was a fan. Edward even owned his own horses and took great care of them up until he was too sick to continue. He loved life and all it had to offer. Edward will be dearly missed by all who got the opportunity to know him.
