Elizabeth (Dolly) S. Hudson, 99 of San Antonio, TX passed peacefully on March 13, 2017. She was born March 4, 1918 in St. Louis, MO. Surviving are a step brother, Don Gunlich and his wife Joan of St. Louis, MO; two nephews Richard Schulte and his wife Debra of Goffstown, NH, Thomas Schulte of Newmarket NH and one niece Dianna Lee Bolton and her husband Peter of Ohio, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Hudson and her sister Naomi Schulte. She was a member of the Colonial Hills United Methodist Church in San Antonio and an active member of the Colonial Classics – Seniors in Ministry and the Forum Sunday School class. Dolly joined the Business and Professional Women’s Club now known as Texas Business Women of San Antonio in 1962. Her guidance and leadership in BPW/TBW was recognized as she served as President 1971-72, District Director 1969 - 1971, State Nominating Committee Chairman as well as many other state and local level offices. She was selected BPW Texas Woman of the Year in 2002. Dolly lived the BPW/TBW moto “Women Helping Women” as she helped charter the Constance Allen Heritage Guild for Lifetime Learning, a guild that provides scholarships to non-traditional students. She joined OASIS when it first opened its office in San Antonio and was recently recognized for 25 years of continuous volunteer service. Dolly coordinated trips throughout the USA and throughout the world for San Antonio’s OASIS members. Until recently Dolly continued to volunteer for OASIS registration events and take classes to continue her love of learning. She loved spending time with her friends and family, shopping, and watching her beloved Spurs.
