Eloisa G. Gonzales, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world on September 9, 2023, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and cherished memories. We commemorate a life richly woven with enduring threads of love and unity that defined the Gonzales Family, standing as a testament to the everlasting power of love and togetherness. Born on July 28, 1961, in Manhattan, New York, to her loving parents, Cipriano and Terumi Garcia, we honor a life defined by an endless source of love, unwavering support, remarkable generosity, and genuine care for others. "Eloisa, who worked and retired from the Bexar County Courthouse after a wonderful career while raising her family, consistently exuded warmth, compassion, and humor in her interactions with everyone she encountered." Eloisa is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Roland Gonzales, and their three adoring sons, Roland, Raymond, and Rudy Gonzales. Eloisa was also blessed with three precious grandchildren, Socrates, Raymond, and Gianna (children of Raymond and Georgina Gonzales). Her memory also lives on through her beloved daughter-in-law, Georgina Gonzales, and the significant others of her sons Roland (Corina) and Rudy (Sabrina). Eloisa cherished a special bond with her siblings: Cipriano (JR) Garcia, Helen Mireles, Terumi Fausto, Anita Bicknell, Olga Tijerina, Dolores Hobbs, and Mike Garcia, whom she cared for deeply. Eloisa's love extended to a vast circle of family members, all of whom she held dear. She embraced the roles of sister, aunt, and friend with the same unwavering love and acceptance that she showed her immediate family. She unfailingly commemorated the birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, and significant milestones of her extended family members, ensuring that they were always aware of the special place they held in her heart. Eloisa's life was marked by a strong desire for adventure and a love for creating special moments. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing by calm waters day or night, camping under the starry sky, or sharing laughter at a casino or during a game of bingo. Eloisa loved to explore new places, appreciating the beauty of the world during her travels, while listening to a wide range of her favorite musical playlists along the way. Her frequent visits to casinos and her eagerness to revel in joyful moments with her family were a testament to her lively and spirited nature. Eloisa's greatest source of happiness was her family, who loved her wholeheartedly, and whom she treasured beyond measure. Her devotion knew no bounds. Her heart overflowed with love for her family, and she embraced her role as a loving mother and wife with grace and tenderness. Eloisa's compassion touched the lives of many. Her generosity was boundless, and she never hesitated to offer a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone in need. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and hospitality, where she welcomed all as if they were her own. To many, she was lovingly viewed as a “Mother Figure” due to her nurturing spirit and her gift for making everyone feel like part of the family. Her generosity extended to the kitchen, where Eloisa consistently prepared ample, mouthwatering dishes, always ensuring that anyone at her home or on their way was warmly offered a delicious, hot plate. Eloisa Gonzales left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. While her physical presence is no longer with us, her legacy of love and acceptance endures and will live on forever, a testament to a beautiful life well-lived. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Mission Park Medical Center 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to celebrate her life on Monday, September 25, 2023 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Meadowlawn Memorial Park. Reception will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Hall immediately after burial. The Family encourages all who are attending her services to wear bright colors or limited black.
