Erlene Woerner White, 96, loved and cherished mother, peacefully departed this realm and went home to be with our Lord on June 25, 2025, in the home of her cherished caretakers, Albinca & Vasile Pop. For the last year and a half, Albinca and Vasile cared for Erlene as if she was their own family and they are both such a blessing from God. Her passing, after a long and arduous battle with heart disease, brings heart felt sadness, yet her family finds comfort in the legacy of love, caring, generosity, and tenacious devotion to family she left behind. Erlene, born on April 6, 1929, in Fredericksburg, Texas, was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Raised during the challenging years of the Great Depression, Erlene developed a remarkable sense of responsibility and perseverance that she carried throughout her life. She graduated with honors from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1947 and furthered her education by attending business school, which led to a very successful career as a bookkeeper and accountant. Her tenacity and keen financial acumen eventually earned her the position of a vice president at San Antonio Savings, where she was a respected leader and mentor. On May 28, 1955, Erlene married Doyle White and on November 28, 1959, they welcomed their daughter, Tracey Dianne. Erlene's pride in her daughter was immeasurable, and she devoted herself to supporting Tracey in all her endeavors. Erlene's unwavering love and encouragement helped Tracey achieve her dreams, and their bond remained strong throughout Erlene's life. A woman of many passions, Erlene cherished her family above all and relished spending time with them. She had a deep love for flowers and her beautiful geraniums were a vibrant reflection of her joyful spirit. A lifelong lover of music, Erlene enjoyed dancing in her living room to the tunes of the 1940s and found peace in the melodies of classical compositions. Her affection for animals, especially her dogs, brought much joy and laughter to her days. Erlene's presence was defined by her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and an optimistic outlook on life. She will be remembered for her loyalty, her supportive nature, and her ability to find joy in life's simplest pleasures. Her generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Erlene is survived by her beloved daughter, Tracey Bauer, and her son-in-law, Rick Bauer. Erlene was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle White, her parents, Olga and Edwin Woerner, and her brother, James Woerner. In closing, we echo the sentiment that captured Erlene's essence so beautifully: A gentle hand, a loving heart, Her memory lives, though we're apart. A guiding light, a constant grace, Forever loved, in time and space. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
