Esequiel “Zeke” Jimenez was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 2, 1943, and went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2023, at the age of 79. Zeke served his country in the United States Navy and loved to share his adventures around the world with anyone who would listen. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, and always remembered for the laughter that he brought upon us. His sense of humor will live on in his daughter Jackie as we all know she is the most like him. He was a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. His Love for his Family showed in his hard work to provide for them. His crafty hands helped many of us whether it was building a front porch, putting up a fence or remodeling and painting a room. Dad loved to fish and many of us have those memories to hold on to of those times. He’d get after us for being too loud and scaring the fish away and even for dropping a soda can off the boat into the lake. For some of us he was that one call you get when you may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dad would give his last dollar to help his family. He loved us all so much. We will all keep those memories of our times with him close to our heart as we celebrate his life. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Esequiel and Melchora Jimenez and brothers Leonardo and Ignacio Jimenez. Survivors include his Beloved Wife of 52 years, Judy Jimenez, Loving Daughters, Jacqueline Jimenez-Olivarri (Tomas), Stephanie J. Martinez, Katherine M. Driscoll (Jason), Adored grandchildren Heather Janelle, Benjamin Anthony Martinez, Michael Thomas Driscoll, loving siblings Mary Di Perna (Paul), Dorothy Araiza (Guillermo), Robert Jimenez (Margarita), and Alejandra Franck (William), sister-in-law Graciela Jimenez and numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Friends To honor “Zeke’s” wishes, we are asking you not to wear black for the funeral service. He wanted everyone to wear their favorite color. “Until We Meet Again” Visitation will begin on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
