Heaven is now a little brighter as our ray of sunshine was called home to be with the good Lord above. Eva Beth Beal was born to Lloyd & Nell Crump on October 12, 1928 in Waco, TX. As a young girl she grew up in a house built by her dad, and ran with the Reuter Rats the neighborhood group named after a nearby street. Waco always held a very special place in her heart. She was baptized at Herring Avenue Christian Church, graduated from Waco High School, worked there for the telephone company, and met her beloved husband of 57 years, Alvin Bryan Beal. Eva Beth was a Navy and football wife early in their marriage which it took her to California and then back to Texas where she planted her roots in San Antonio raising her three children. Eva Beth was the mom who would sew her children’s clothes, play an active role in the PTA, and teach Sunday school. Her talents went beyond being a wife and a mom. Eva Beth was a humble artist who loved to paint and write clever little whims. She had a zest for life and family which is why she was one of the best grandmothers with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. This girl from Waco loved life, and a great one she had. Eva Beth traveled near and far with a great circle of friends always bringing back treasured mementos. One of the best getaways for her and Alvin was to Horseshoe Bay. This is where the family would gather for so many celebrations especially on July 4th. We cannot look back on her life without remembering one very special group of ladies - her card group. These ladies met for over 50 years once a month to play cards and laugh. Their bond went so far beyond a monthly card game. She was adored and treasured by her family. Everyone who met Eva Beth knew what a special lady she was. Her personality, wit, charm, and silliness is what made her so endearing to those around her. Eva Beth had so many dear people in her life that will miss her. The family would like to send a special thank you to Chris Brickey for all the years of looking after her right up until the end. Later in life, Eva Beth was blessed with a special friend, Joe Hammond who brought her much joy and laughs. Please keep in prayer the family Eva Beth has left behind: Children, Gaye Beal, Kim Beal Gonzales (George), and Russell Beal (Stacey); Grandchildren Dawn Lopez (Carlos), Bryan Vest (Keren), Mason Beal Ready, Chelcey Beal, Sky Beal, and Chace Beal; Great-grandchildren Adriana Guzman (Charles), Karly Beth Lopez, Levi Bryan Lopez, Tyler and Cameron Vest, Cayden and Piper Ready; and Great-great grandchildren Ashoton, Alijah, Azaiah, and Ailani Guzman. SERVICES A Celebration of her wonderful life will be on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Castle Hills Christian Church, 6209 West Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78213. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Alvin Beal in a private family burial at Mission Burial Park North. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in her memory be made to Castle Hills Christian Church.
