Señora Francisca Guzman de Rivera was born on April 2, 1936 to Augustin Guzman and Juanita Huerta de Guzman in the small town of Anahuac, Nuevo León, Mexico. Arriving as the youngest of 8 siblings, she was known to many as simply "Quica." In 1955 she found the completion of her heart and soul when she wed Tómas Rivera, and together the two created a family bond that would span the globe: 10 children, 23 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 family. A loving wife and devoted mother who supported every child in each path they had chosen throughout their lives and was always there to pick them up if they had fallen. She possessed a mother's heart and a mother's eyes that embraced forgiveness and love. She leaves behind her wisdom and knowledge from the kitchen to life, exemplifying the true meaning of a mothers love. If there are ever any doubts towards what the future may bring you can rest easy, because you had learnt from the best. Frances is survived by her husband, Tomas Rivera Sr., Children, Maria Esther Garcia and her husband Jesus Garcia, Sandra Rivera and companion Karen Hernandez, Jose Thomas Rivera and his wife Filomena Rivera, Rosa Maria Rivera and her companion Leticia Cantu, Anselmo Rivera and former wife Georgina Rivera, Retired Mastery Gunnery Sergeant Juan De Dios Rivera and his wife Beverly Rivera, Albert Rivera, Juanita Rivera Villagomez, Olga Rivera Jackson and her husband Scottie C. Jackson and Thomas Rivera Jr. and his wife Yvonne Rivera, honorary son Kennis Walden and his wife Gisella Walden; Grandchildren, Jose Manuel Cuevas and his wife Michelle Cuevas, Juan Alberto Cuevas and his wife Selina Cuevas, Zachary Brummet Rose, Anthony Thomas Rivera, Celina Ann Serenil and her husband James A. SERVICES A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Mission Burial Park North Mausoleum Chapel with entombment to follow at Mission Burial Park North Mausoleum.
