Francisco Moreno Jr. Frank, age 51, fell asleep in death at home in the early morning hours on Sunday September 16, 2012 in Helotes, TX with his children and wife at his side. He was born on April 11, 1961 in El Paso, TX to Francisco Sr. and Julieta Moreno being the second of four children. He is survived by: his parents, his youngest daughter Kaitlyn Moreno of Helotes, his youngest son Gregory Moreno of Wallkill, NY, his oldest son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kristy Moreno of Cypress, and the love of his life, his wife Tessa Moreno. Additional survivors include his oldest sister Alicia Moreno-Italiana of San Antonio, his youngest sister Teresa Moreno-Peters of El Paso and his brother David Moreno of San Antonio. Frank began his young adult life surfing California's beaches before joining the Navy's nuclear program where he served courageously and honorably aboard the USS George Bancroft. During his service he completed Officer Training School and other leadership training. Frank graduated from the University of New Mexico on May 18, 1986 earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1991 and after 10 years of service, he received his honorable discharge and moved to Beaumont, TX, where he worked for Mobil and ExxonMobil as a Mechanical Engineer and raised his family for 16 years. In September of 2007, he moved his family to San Antonio, TX where he began working at Tesoro Petroleum Corporate offices as a Staff Reliability Engineer. Frank's greatest achievement was being a wonderful, supportive, and loving husband and father, providing for his family in every way. And as a minister, helping others to learn about and draw closer to God, teaching them values that made him known as such a good man and a great friend. His joys and love were instilled into and will live on by all who are survived by him. His family looks forward to the day when they can be with him again. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to benefit Frank's children and an account has been set up with Frost Bank Acct # 211120298. SERVICES A visitation will be held from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on Saturday, September 22, 2012.
