Frank Lebrie Mora Frank was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 20th, 1926 to Mary Louise and Mariono Mora Sr. He was one of eight siblings, Lupe, Mariono, Ernest, Mike, Paul, Pina and Louie. While attending Burbank High School he worked at the family business "Mora's Meat Market" on 1906 Nagolitos Street. He married Ilda Marie Kirchner August 4th, 1951. In 1943 he joined the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in November 1946. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Area from November '43 – July '44. He was wounded in action at Okinawa, R.I. In January 2006, he was rightly given the following medals and awards: Purple Heart for wounds received in action against the enemy he received his first soon after his discharge in 1946. Combat Action Ribbon for service in WWII Good Conduct Medal for service from May 5th, 1944 to November 18th, 1946. American Campaign Medal Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze campaign star World War II Victory Medal Rifle Marksman Badge Frank is survived by his loving family: his sons, Frank and wife Juanita, Timothy K. and wife Cindy, Robert K. and wife Sandi, Patrick K. and wife Amy Sue: daughter Susan Marie Mora-Mossberger. He leaves numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother Michael L. Mora. He has joined his loving departed wife of 63 years, Ilda, and departed sons, Roland, Marion Charles and Anthony. He was a devoted husband and father, who spent years coaching and taking his children to practice and games. He loved to shop and was a wonderful provider; his family did not want for anything. He loved to travel with his wife and family; beginning with a honeymoon in Acapulco and continuing with family trips camping at Garner State park and numerous adventures to the western United States. In his golden years along with Ilda, they traveled to faraway places like the Panama Canal, various islands in the Caribbean, Europe and Israel. All of the trips were memorable especially the family reunion cruise and experiencing the Holy Land. Frank was active in community, serving the North San Antonio Hills Lions Club, CYO and various Catholic Parishes. Kelly AFB is where he spent his career serving as a C5-Gallaxy radio technician in the instruments branch accessories division, receiving numerous awards for his ability to fix systems that were "unfixable" – he was full of stories of black box scenarios. Often he was sent on secret missions to fix systems that were unfixable by others. After retiring, he started his second career as a hobby, being a general contractor; building three homes for himself and Ilda, a home for Anthony, Tim and Susan.
