Frederick Charles Moore Jr., Loving father, son, brother and friend to many, left this earth on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Born January 13th 1980 on San Antonio's Northwest side, "Freddy" was the oldest of three siblings. From an early age, he exhibited an enthusiastic and insatiable love for learning. His encyclopedic knowledge, eccentric personality, infectious smile, and uninhibited sense of creativity shined brightly throughout his years at Thomas Jefferson High School, where he graduated in 1998. After attending St. Mary's University, he found himself most at home, working as a chef, where he created delicious and unique recipes, which he lovingly shared with everyone he knew. In his late 20's, Fred was blessed with the birth of his daughter Zenobia, who he cherished dearly. Fred's interests were boundless. Art, and music filled his days & played a huge part in influencing everything he lovingly offered to us all, which led him to become a very talented artist, vocalist, costume and mask maker, jewelry maker and aspiring musician. His love and knowledge of insects was on par with any professional entomologist and his fascination with all animals and taxidermy would undoubtedly classify him as an avid naturalist. Fred's innate gift of understanding, generosity, compassion, inclusiveness, sense of humor, & genuine love towards everyone he knew drew people to him, making him countless friends & kindred spirits throughout his life. His example of unwavering love & unconditional consideration for others will live on well beyond his departure from this plane of existence. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Louise Rios and is survived by his daughter, Zenobia Moore; his parents, Frederick Charles, Sr. and Antoinette “Toni” Moore; his sister, Jenna Ortiz and her husband, Daniel; his brother, Christian J. Moore; and his nephew and nieces, Nikolas, Mia, and Ari; his grandfather, Antonio E. Rios; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The Celebration of Freddy’s Life will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Fred J. Tips Mausoleum Chapel located at the rear of Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH 10 West.
