George passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the age of 88. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eulalia Sanchez, parents, Frank Sanchez and Rosa Morales, and brothers Frank M. Sanchez, and Arturo M. Sanchez. He is survived by his 3 sons, George A. (Teri) Sanchez, Charles E. (Delia) Sanchez, Daniel R.(Dora) Sanchez; 6 grandchildren, Sarah Sanchez, Samantha Rainey, Charles A. Sanchez, Jay R. Sanchez, Daniel R. Sanchez Jr., Delaine R. Sanchez; sibling Olga Bernal and husband Juan; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. George graduated from The Texas State Board of Tuberculosis Nurse Examiners in 1957 as a Registered Tuberculosis Nurse. He specialized in electroencephalographs, pulmonary care, and non-invasive vascular laboratory work. George’s career began working at The San Antonio State Chest Hospital in 1957. He later achieved his certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician in 1970, transferring over to Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital from 1971 to 1973, before retiring from The Diagnostic Clinic on December 31, 2000, with over 43 years of nursing. All while helping run the family company La Haciendita. George was known far and wide for his loving and compassionate spirit, a man who selflessly put his family’s needs before his own. His unwavering love for his family was a source of inspiration to all who knew him, as he cherished every single moment they shared. His commitment as a husband was remarkable, an enduring marriage of 67 years to Eulalia Ninfa Saenz was a testament to their extraordinary love story. Beyond his role as a dedicated family man, George also had a profound impact on his community as a nurse. He was a pillar of support to his friends and neighbors, always ready to lend a helping hand or comforting word. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was known for his generosity, always going the extra mile for everyone. George’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, leaving an impact of love, compassion, and selflessness for generations to come. In his downtime, George loved watching sports, going to the coast, spending time with old friends, and making the most out of family outings. He was an incredible son, brother, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, friend, and nurse anyone could have asked for, who will never be forgotten in our hearts. Pallbearers will be Charles A. Sanchez, Jay Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez Jr., Noah Moreno, Tristian Moreno, Marc Mancha.
