In Loving Memory of Gloria Carole Daubenmire Gloria Carole Daubenmire, born on June 10, 1954, in Corona, CA, peacefully passed away at the age of 69 on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at her home in San Antonio, TX. She was surrounded by the love of her family, especially her best friend and husband of 46 years, Jim Daubenmire. Carole, as she was fondly known, was the daughter of the late Glenn Arthur Connell and Jacqueline Gene Redick Connell. At the age of 3 months, she moved to Texas, where she spent the entirety of her remarkable life. Carole leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and passion for education. She pursued her academic journey at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1991. Carole continued her pursuit of knowledge at St. Mary's University Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1994. Throughout her diverse career, Carole held various positions, but she found her true calling during the last decade of her life as a Life Skills Teacher with South San ISD. She devoted herself to her students, finding joy in their accomplishments and milestones. Her adventurous and challenging days were made possible by the collaborative and supportive environment of her co-workers, especially her Para-professionals and Principal. Carole's greatest joy in life was being "Nano" to her granddaughters, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her loving children: Jennifer Alejandro (Krisch) and spouse Dylan, along with their daughters Kaitlyn and Emily of Uvalde, TX; Brian Krisch of San Antonio, TX; Tommy Krisch and spouse Kelly, with their daughter Macy of Lytle, TX; Shannon Nelson (Daubenmire) and spouse Rex of Panama City Beach, FL; and grand-daughter Becca Lynn Daubenmire, along with her two children of Panama City Beach, FL.; James R. Daubenmire and his son Jimmy of San Antonio, TX. Carole is also survived by her siblings: brother John Sevier and spouse Jane of Bastrop, TX; sister Martha Sevier of San Antonio, TX; sister Glenda Youngkrantz and spouse Chris of San Antonio, TX, and sister-in-law Sue Kauffman and spouse George of Lancaster, OH. Additionally, she is remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Glenn Connell, her mother Jackie Sevier, her son Steven Daubenmire, and sister Rene Sevier-Grazier. Carole Daubenmire will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and the positive impact she made on the lives of those she touched. Her legacy will live on through the memories of the many people who were fortunate enough to know and love her. May she rest in eternal peace.
